Shapes & Shadow - An exploration in the human form as art

I feel my soul in these images.

It was a strong sunny day, and the light was absolutely stunning in it’s harshness. Some may complain, but the glare of a harsh light can show beauty if you allow it and work with it. After all, we cannot appreciate the light without darkness, and we can not appreciate softness if there is nothing to compare it to.

We had met a couple times before, but I wasn’t expecting such a relaxed human to walk into my studio. Maybe it was her, maybe my creative excitement was in the air, maybe she just decided in advance to surrender and we made magic together.

Whatever the case, I know she felt what I saw. It’s evident to me that she felt how beautiful what we were creating was.

That,

in itself,

is magic to me.

The fact that humans are willing to share themselves with me & my art.

The fact that you are trusting me.

That’s huge.

The fact that humans see the possibility and value in my art makes my heart sing.

My heart and soul goes out to you all, for without you, I would not be able to create.

And for that, I am very, very grateful.

I would like to leave you with my favorite image of the series; a true play on light and shadow.

Here I began, and here I shall always reside in worshipping light, and it’s shadows.
